The variety of entertainment available in Downtown Guelph is part of its allure, and the city’s latest initiative is growing that selection even further. Friday nights throughout the summer are featuring a selection of classic family hits for all ages, free of charge, on a giant screen at Market Square. Their current plan is to run 3 more flicks under the stars, aiming for a “drive-in experience minus the car”.
The current line-up includes (click the title for a synopsis):
The Princess Bride– August 10th
The Wizard of Oz– August 24th
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory– September 14th
Each movie is slated to begin at 9 o’clock p.m. and operate on a first-come, first-served basis with regards to seating. They are also contingent on good weather. For more information, follow @cityofguelph on Twitter or visit Guelph.ca
